Perhaps there's also the "family site" aspect. Not too sure if that's the deal here.

I don't think it should be dismissed out of hand - the reference was to 'adult themes', not porno themes.
Erotica can be art, themes are art - thus erotic themes can be art.

NUDITY AND PORNOGRAPHY:
This is a slightly difficult tpic, but as a general rules artwork containing male or female frontal nudity will be not accepted. We can occasionally bend this rule if the artwork is truly exceptional and if the nudity it contains is only an element of the artwork, not the subject in itself. VIOLENCE: No artwork making the promotion of violence or explicitly representing images of death, blood or physical harm will be accepted. Will also be rejected any artwork promoting discrimination, prejudice or any form of disrespect to any ethnic, religious or gender group.

Most 'nude' submissions are 'chick-walls', which are rejected out of hand for copyright reasons anyway....

Probably, the likes of Nuvem's works, some of which include nude figures, are a clear example of what IS considered appropriate...

The 'standards' of what is accepted here will remain respectably 'high', not sinking to the level of pre-pubescent 'titillation', as has been evident elsewhere....
