Are the Summer GUI Olympics still on?

Are the Summer GUI Olympics still on? I remember reading in a thread on Wincusto a few weeks ago that Brad had called them off, but then about a week ago I read http://www.deviantmag.com/guiolympics.html that mentioned they would be going ahead.

I'm just curious, as I have a couple of IconPackager icon sets I'm working on, I would like to know whether or not I should 'save' them for the competition or just release them when their finished in a month or so.

Any Official light on the subject would be great, Thanks...

The article in deviantMAG was from further back. If there's to be a summer GUI Olympics, someone else has to be the front person on it (i.e. someone else can be the target ).

Fair enough Brad

I completely understand where you are coming from... and I must say you did a great job with the first one, despite all the 'hassle' that was thrown your way.

Well, if there's one good thing that came out of you mentioning the summer ones, it was that it got me kick-started into icons again and interested into some new Win 9x/2000 System sets.

I've got 8 sets on the way (all complete 80+ icon sets), I'll be releasing them later this summer.
