A little request for personnalized icons

I would have a request: would it be possible to add the feature of having our own personnalized icon? My idea is not for anyone who register to WC but for those of us who bought SkinBrowser. And this could also serve as an incentive for those who havent bought SB yet 
I understand you guys have other priorities but I still think this would be a very cool and appreciated feature.

This has been brought up at least two times recently (both by myself and woodbridge). It seems unfair that some 'elite' members (and their personal friends) of the community get to personalize their posts with them while other 'runofthemill' members can't (and presumably will not). With all the recent talk about how this 'community' is comprised of equals, I think that the admins need to be consistent. Either the 'elite' members of the community should get rid of their icons or we should all be able to have them!!
I don't want to harp on the matter, but as a supporter (financial - all ODNT products and WC - ...and soon to be artistic) of this site, it seems to me that the you might at least allow us to pick from a list of pre-approved/moderated icons (similar to what neowin does with avatars) in our account options. This icon would be used as the default 'SkinBrowser supporter' icon.
Adding a dropdown to the account options to support this would be trivial (one added setting returned from the database query along with support code to display it and update the selection) and would require little, if any, maintenance once implemented.
T-Man - I would be happy to perform any maintenance required to support this feature (including modifying the account setup page, if necessary) on a volunteer basis.
I think this might qualify as one of the 'extras' of being a WC subscriber - not to mention that it might even boost WC subscriptions when visitors start asking "How do I get an icon on my post" questions.

I think it would be great if people who bought subscriptions could submit their own personalized icon (that would be moderatored like a section) that when approved could be used if the user has a WC subscription.

One thing for sure though...IF they do become adopted....moderation of them will be for copyright reasons in particular.
Those of you who drop in on Devart may be aware of various 'complaints' that 'avatars' should be free from issues of copyright, but they cannot be, because they, too are pieces of 'art', albeit very small....and WILL be policed here.

DavidK - Yes...I was talking about the 16X16 256 < less color (16, actually...would promote greater creativity?) icons. Anything else would be annoying...and I agree they should not be animated at all. They would simply replace the existing SkinBrowser icons in posts (not appear on the emoticon bar).

I maybe a little old fashion but I do not feel slited that a few (as Peff calls Elite) people have icons. Thats what was called rank has its privileges. I would hope that it doesn't start looking like LOS.

Personally I like the Emoticons but don't care for the personal icons a great deal. I feel that having all the icons everywhere clutters the site up a bit. I prefer the site to stay clean as possible.
Also, some people will abuse it. So do we need to put in a moderation system for everytime some uploads/updates their personal icon? Our moderators are already over burdened trying to keep up with the Libraries let along trying to add the icons as well.
I can understand how many people like to the seem and like to express themselves with them. But personally I would just rather not see them.
T-Man hints that if enough 0's are added and the check is written out to me that I could be persuaded to add personalize icons.
