Disappearing Skins tab

Sunday, June 2, 2002 by ama02 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I've had a desktop wallpaper that was 'hiding' in the background, behind my current wallpaper, for quite some time. It was downloaded a long time ago (from Exile game site)..and I've since been using other wallpapers.

Problem: I now have WB3.3i I decided to 'uninstall' the Exile desktop wallpaper, using its uninstall feature...and now the Skins tab on my desktop Properties is gone! I tried to go to WB via the start menu, but it only refers me (takes me to) the Properties window again...with no Skins tab! Uhm....did I do something wrong?

First time I've heard of a wallpaper with an uninstall feature..........did I hear you correctly??
Anyway......when you say "Skins tab" I assume you mean the Appearance tab. If that's missing, then I'd say YES you've done 'something' wrong....
I know I'm no help, but I'll bump the thread to the top, and maybe someone will have a clue.

Ahh. The thing with this is, there was actually an Exile skin bundled with it, and (IIRC) a shareware copy of WindowBlinds. What probably happened is WindowBlinds uninstall got triggered by it. Try reinstalling WindowBlinds?
