GUI Champs 2012–Official Info!

We’re excited to announce the details and official opening date for the 2012 GUI Champs. As you may know, the GUI Champs is an international skinning competition where graphic designers and skinners compete for cash and prizes and a huge worldwide audience. We have been talking about it for several months now, and the GUI Champs will open for submissions on Tuesday, September 4th, 2012.

Rules:
- All entries must be NEW and ORIGINAL artwork that has not been submitted to any other gallery or site prior to September 4th, 2012.
- Entries can be submitted to other sites once they have been approved and posted publicly to the GUI Champs competition galleries.
- You may not obtain permission from other artists to incorporate their work into your submission. Everything submitted, every graphical element must be entirely the creation of the person submitting.
- No use of stock imagery, corporate logos, or other promotional material.
- No Pornographic or copyrighted material will be accepted!
- Enter as often as you want, but every entry must be different. No variations on the same artwork, please.
- Must be 18 years of age.

As the day draws closer, I'm getting very excited as I look forward to seeing what promises to be some fantastic entries for the GUI Competition. Good luck to all those that have entered , and thank-you in advance for giving us wonderful new stuff to decorate our desktops !!

Icons were the most creative part of the last GUI championships. It's a shame they aren't being included. I believe most consumers are interested in Window Blinds and Icons than in Dreamscapes. They're cool but after about 5 minutes I'm tired of them taking up resources.
