WindowBlinds Request to skinners... :)
Tuesday, May 14, 2002 by spoon_T_Rex | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Please, PLEASE, update skins to at least have a "plus" option on your skin to put winamp skins on the bottom of the skin window! This would be very much appreciated and I'm sure other's would appreciate it too!
Thank you for reading and (hopefully) pondering carefully on this!

(I was afraid of such answers.)Reply #5 Wednesday, May 15, 2002 9:39 AM
I never use any Winamp control, I don't like any plugin on any skin myself. And actually I don't even use Winamp in the first place.

So, it will never cross my mind to put any such plugin on any skin. :/ Sorry.

Greenreaper gives you good advice. If you want, you can use the control graphics I made for my skin 'SETI green'. They have a transparent background so they'll be easy to apply to any skin. The only ones that would need modification are the volume buttons - just delete the text at the bottom, it's not all on the button graphic. Just put the same pink over the letters.
To add the controls, find a spot where they would fit and add the coordinates to the button's section in the UIS file. You can lift the button sections from my skin also, just make sure to change the total button count to match the number of buttons now in the skin and change the path for the graphics as well as the button number. Be sure to put the WBAmp.dll file in the skin's directory too.
In SETI green the first button you need is [Button19] which is the switch to turn on the controls. Then [Button20] through [Button27] gives you all the controls, just reposition them where you want and make sure the "LinkedTo" line points to the number you assign to Button19. The title is switched on with [Button46] and the title itself is [Button47]. You also need the section called [WBAmp]. You could do all this in notepad and use MSPaint to fix the volume button pink bits.
easy

Plus, if you want the controls to be ON all the time, don't use Button 19 and just delete the "LinkedTo" line from each button and change the "Visibility=40" line to "Visibility=1" ("0" if you want them to show on inactive windows too)

All I was asking (and I understand that the skinners make their skins for their own personal use and then put them up on the site for anyone else who may enjoy them) is that they put a little time in for those of us who really DON'T understand how to skin and make a sub design that could have the controls on them. I'm not saying "DO IT!!" I'm asking, "Please put them on. The time and effort would be much appreciated." That's all I'm saying.

pjpowell, MadIce--we don't want you hate! We just want you to LOVE!!

I guess your bigger problem is actually working out which ones do and which don't have them...
