I received the email this morning about this Secunia update.
This updated release is ok, I guess... my problem with it is the amount of info provided. Much less. gHacks didn't like this "dumbing down" approach, and neither do I.
It's still ok, in fact it's a great program - as it will scan on demand and notify of program updates... but an important thing to remember is that it will only notify about non-Microsoft programs.
Thanks for this post, coffeegrinder.

I've been running this program since it was identified, I believe by Doc, here in the forums.
Easy to use to program, but I still like to not allow automatic updates, I want to see what is getting updated. Of course, like most updates to software they have to change the interface that you have become accustomed to. I also didn't see what a list of what was updated.
Good program folks.

Yes I agree the old interface and info available was better. Like a lot of other programs they seem to be going down the road of click and done.
But still a worthwhile program.
