how do you convert a mac OSX icon pack to win icons?

Wednesday, April 24, 2002 by Teikoshen | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

i've been looking around for icons.. found some really really cool ones at iconfactory..
sadly though.. i'm an XP user, so i can't use those fabulous Mac icons.. especially the OS X ones.. is there anyway i can use them??

i tried to unzip them but didn't work.

http://www.virtualplastic.net/html/col_mac1.html is a good place to start looking for info...

And so are the neowin.net forums at: http://www.neowin.net/bboard/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=42

It's quite esy, all you need in IconShop: http://users.pandora.be/liontech/index.htm
Note that if you have WIndows XP, you should use IconShop version 1.14 or higher in order to extract the icons with all the 8 bits transparency.

Oh, and needless to say: if you do extract the Mac icons, keep them for yourself. Do NOT upload them anywhere sice they are not yours. You probably know that, but I'm just making sure.
