Maybe CursorFX Plus needed a reboot in order to complete the installation, but SDC just went ahead and rebooted without giving me any opportunity for a clean shut down of open applications. Worse yet, CursorFX Plus still shows in SDC as an update even though the installed version is now 2.11!

Just noticed that my cursor (Tesla) had a greenish cast to it. Went to CursorFX Plus settings and clicked on "Reset" and the cursor was again correct.

Since there is no beta or bug report thread, I'll report here that the Steam menu bug has NOT been fixed.

"Fix for Flip3D mode" Is that the change log in its entirety?

My install did not ask me to reboot at all, but  I did anyway.  I just had to fix the shortcut location manually.

It did however apply a shadow to my cursor that I had to remove in the settings.

Quoting LightStar, reply 35and it still shows version 2.10.023 at the store for me as available.Everyone having this issue, whn you log into the web-store and mouse-over the download button are you seeing 2.10.x?

Or, are you seeing the following?

A few mn ago i went to the store and now seeing 2.11.023 though i downloaded and installed without any trouble (Win XP SP3)

N.B: BTW it's showing now in the Program List installaed with name CursorFX and no more as CursorFX Plus

There are mechanisms in place to beta test this stuff before release....dunno why they're not being used.

Possibly because you think Thunderbird is an acceptable wine choice with a bean burrito, your local grocery store also has a few pool tables and your car and its motor are more than ten feet apart.

Related to the new release, why does clicking on Check for Updates in the About screen of the new release do nothing more than open the folder C:\Users\LightStar\AppData\Local\Stardock\StardockCentral on my hard drive instead of checking for updates?  Again, Windows 7 64-bit.

I reported the same thing. At least it doesn't point to Impulse anymore.

The CFX 2.10 uninstall is likely not an issue with the 2.11 installer . . it was likely an issue with the 2.10 installer/uninstaller.  A manual uninstall may be needed (delete the folder and the regkey located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Stardock\CursorFX

This is, of course, also what we want the process to be.

Needless to say, this issue was highly confusing to straighten out on my machine particularly due to the name change from CFX Plus to CFX. I had to remove both and then do the reinstall. Why doesn't Stardocks software ever do a clean uninstall? Incidentally, I did have to manually uninstall CFX Plus.

Got the new version installed ok, but noticed something strange: The control for changing the darkness of the shadow has no effect at all. Anyone else got this problem?

Also just noticed that the X and Y settings for the shadow have no effect either.

That change was unintentional and will be fixed in a future update.

Please consider these growing pains as we roll into SDC (still in beta).

Zu, the CFX uninstall problem was uninstalling 2.11, not 2.10.

I tried the store update too...same problems. If this was a beta, I wouldn't be complaining, but it isn't a beta, it's an update that apparently wasn't tested thouroughly before release.

I reiterate, there are mechanisms in place to handle testing this stuff....it should be used.

I will wait until this thread shows all is well, then I'll update.
