Vertical Taskbar

I absolutely hate doing vertical taskbars for my WB skins....so I have to ask...how many people actually use a vertical taskbar?

I do

Take a look my desktop http://www.clan1234.com/bedlam/desktop-april-small.png and http://www.clan1234.com/bedlam/desktop-april.png for a full size shot

The task bar that I use the most is the blackcomb because I think it looks best as a vertical task bar

Mine is always vertcal, but it's the NS taskbar. I rarely ever see the windows taskbar.

nifty desktop, Rob.
But as for myself, I don't and probably never will, unless I get monitors that can do 2048x1536. I'm all for a setup that has much free space on desktop. I'd like to keep my desktop clean as you can see from this http://www.nitesade.net/nite/ss.jpg (beware, its 2304x768, about 230k jpg).

If anyone is interested, how about a Blackcomp NS suite to include WS?

I'm not a skinner, but is a vertical taskbar really that hard to make? Surely it uses the same pic files as the horizontal bar?

It would be a shame if you stop making vertical task bars in your skins as I often use your Alias skin.

Rob> it actually uses seperate images for most of the elements of the vertical taskbar (background, tray, tray arrow, sizing bar, buttons). It's not that it's difficult to do, but it never seems to look "right". Conseqently, I end up spending a lot of time to get it to look "right" and always end up frustrated. I'm sure I'll continue to include them....I was just curious how many people use them.

Thank you for taking the time to make them right

I have a suggestion that might (IMHO) make the vertical taskbar look better? I have made a small modification to your Boron skin. The taskbar buttons are transparent - the buttons only show when the window is active or rolled over.
