User Icon Problem

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 by reignson | Discussion: WindowBlinds

So.  In all my "non Aero Textured " skins (including deault installs) the Start menu User Avatar / Icons are missaligned off to the right of the start menu.  This is on a clean install of Windows 7 x64 ultimate.  I had the same issue previous to the clean install as well.

It should be noted that I am on a Dual-Monitor setup. [ 1 ][ 2 ]

The taskbar is on the Secondary monitor to the right, whilst my Primary monitor is on the left with no taskbar.   If I move the taskbar to the Primary screen to the right, the problem goes away as long as the taskbar is on the Top, Left, or Bottom of the primary screen.  If I place it anywhere else then the icon becomes missaligned to varying degrees depending on location.

Is this a known limitation, or is the problem specific to my set up?  Is there any fix or work around, or if not, can I somehow disable the User Icon accross all skins?

Does this happen with other WB using the exact same setup?

It happens with ALL Blinds that I have tried, that do not use Aero as the base.

For instance the preinstalled skins named Aero Clay, Areo Metals, Aero Woods, etc are all fine.   But the rest of them all give me this issue.  (Corporate, Diamond, Sabertooth, etc to name some preinstalls that DO have the issue.)

I figured out how to fix this issue.

Uninstall Windowblinds.  Worked like a charm.

Another solution would be to ask [email protected] for help....

You will find the same issue using a vertical taskbar on a 1 monitor setup. That's why I always include a substyle without a user pic on all my skins.
