Problem installing DesktopX

Thursday, February 28, 2002 by SXFuzz | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I've only today purchased the object desktop network and I've downloaded and installed ALL the components, except for Desktop X, it seems to think that the filesize is wrong, can anyone explain if there's anything I can do?

One way around this is to delete the files. Make sure that the Component Manager is closed. Delete dx11rc3.cab and dx11rc3.cab.cmi (your file names may differ depending on what version you downloaded). Restart the Component Manager and it will think that you never downloaded it in the first place.

This is not the most elegant/proper/best way to do it, but I know it will work.

Just deleting it using the component manager is the "proper" and easier way. Once you delete it using CM, it will allow you to redownload it.
