Skinning music

What do you listen to when making a skin?

I have found that when I listen to jazz or acustic guitar I am more precise in my graphics, but less creative then when I listen to something harder.

Time to break out Joe Satriani.

When I first started out I usually listened to my daughter banging pots and pans together (no wonder my work was awful!).
Now that she is in school I'm forced to find some other source of inspiration *weg*. When I am first coming up with ideas, I usually listen to anything from early-mid 90's hard rock to jefferson airplane. Once I get the idea rolling and start doing detail work I end up putting on country music.

Black Metal spins my chin... or not, seeing I haven't skinned a thing ever since I started listening to it.
