Inspirational thread......

I know many artists and skinners (myself included), often search around for inspiration when we want to create something new. So, why not tell them what you want in this thread? You could tell us what kind of wallpapers you like, what style of Desktop X or Window Blinds themes you prefer, or even which colors you like to have on your desktop.
For instance, I like to make DesktopX themes that are menu based, but do you like these, or do you prefer them to be object based (like zoomers etc.)?
Let the artists know what you like, (many of us will do requests) and you may get your perfect theme or wallpaper.

So, I shall go first: When I am choosing Window Blinds themes, I am always drawn to the ones that look like machinery, Like "Thredz" etc. I really like this style, and I wish there were more of them. So, all you WB artists, there's your first request!

Anything that does not look like an OS, tech look as you see in LiteStep themes. Elegant in use and appearance. Also the ability to move items around, change colors, and wallpapers.

If this goes bad, I don't know Jim, how did he get into my account.

As much as I would like to "order" what I would like to see in artist's skins, outside maybe a request for a different color, the thrill of reviewing new skins is you never know what it is going to look like. I have found that for as much as I thought I had a specific "taste", the variety I see in skins is great! I find myself checking this site numerous times a day........and always look forward to that new "submission"!

Terrific site, interesting skins and creative skinners keeps me coming back!

Yes, but the point is, we all find our creativity stifled at times, and this thread is an opportunity to inspire us with ideas and requests and opinions.
I agree with you about this site, I spend around 8 hours per day rummaging around here. But at least I have a good excuse to do that, being a Wizop

I agree with Jim... The elegant, slightly futuristic but OS-independent look of most Litestep themes is something I'd LOVE to see more of in WB.

As I suggested in "another place" (the February Birthday thread, actually) how about a selection of WB themes based on Astrological star-signs & birthstones?

Imagine the skin for the current period, Aquarius, with extensive use of Amethyst textures (birthstone for Aquarius) and custom designed astrological sign (the "Water-bearer)for various icons etc.

There could be plenty of scope for originality - and there are still eleven more star-signs to go!

Just a thought...

A chocolate skin with little wrapped hershey kisses in different colors for the buttons and dancing M&M's in the title bar....The buttons could make little crinkle noises, and the M&M's could scream "NO!" when you closed a window. (well, you *asked*...)

I don't have the imagination to request something for myself, but I do hover around enough skin sites to know what people in general are requesting. So on behalf of people that want skins but can't make them very well, not that they've tried mind you, everywhere, here is my request.

A Brittney Spears Wu-Tang Clan Accura NSX WWF Wrestler skin.
