GUI Olympics Issue

Friday, February 1, 2002 by 1Renegade | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

In my opinion, for what that is worth, it is sad to think that one has to register to the site prior to having the ability to generate a comment. I had read time and time again about the author's concerns about feedback, why would one have to register at the GUI Olympic site, to whose benefit does that serve? Having to register is keeping some UNIQUE visitors from commenting, ultimately who suffers...............the author, not the entity counting the hits at the website.

The advantage of controlling comment access on a site via the need to register is that then it can be a simple matter to police abusive comments and/or disruptive people.
Membership in general with clubs, sites, etc, is intended to oversee the implementation of, and compying with established rules of conduct agreed upon by the club/group in general....

WinCustomize accounts work on GUIOlympics - in theory. So it shouldn't be much work.
