teddybearcholla Sent a Wonderful Link

Jerusalem (Caesaria, Acco and Yafo, the Dead Sea, Jordan River) and more. So much more.

Barb sent me a wonderful IMAX vid of Jerusalem (also a bunch of other places where I was when I lived there).

I like that they represented all the Avrahamic religions in the vid... It's a video well worth seeing. Make sure to watch it in full screen mode.

Thank you so much for this, Barb. You are a total sweety!

just because it tells you what events went on in a particular area, does not make it a 'religious' video.... more a historic one... and a geographically, well filmed one....

I enjoyed it without getting any specific 'religious' message..... so, I disagree....

Absolutely correct Syd.

Seriously? Best to try to just enjoy the vid and not read things into it.

It's a video about  geography, history and culture so in my opinion, it would fall into the Educational category. It had no particular bias toward any one religion, nor did it have any overly religious tones to it. You are way off base with your comment, imho.

It's not a printed article, which is harder to pass by, it's a video link that you can either click on, or not.  Lighten up, DC.

I don't see anyone saying, "believe it or else". Don't ever travel to the Middle East, you start being exposed to religion about 4am (first call to prayer) and they quit exposing you to religion about 11pm (last call to prayer - there are seven all together) Religion (mostly Muslim where I was) permeates the news, advertising, and text books. It is this way everywhere. One of the ways they think we are crazy is that we don't have "freedom" the way they do. I about fainted when I heard that. But, after some thought, perhaps they see something we don't. America is probably one of the few places in the world who push separation between government and religion almost violently, most places it is so engrained it would take a thousand years to remove it.

It's just a beautiful place that many will never get to see. It happens to be the birthplace of the three most strongest religions in the world. Turn the sound off.
