Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Sunday, January 27, 2002 by Elfkura | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

feline wonders when fuzzy is going to start making a proper fuss of me ...

Is that fuss or fuzz?

Fuzzy Logic can turn feline into a proper fuzz...

Um, yes...I noticed Elf crept in there. I'm keeping a low profile though - the last time Elf came this way she threatened to kick me on the shin...

Fuzzy Logic has enough woman trouble without getting a kicking too

if so, which country is this in?

feline suspects that it is in america

it would be nice to find someone to share the pain of doing pathology software in the UK with

feline...do you remember having a conversation with starone (christine) about the quick launch menu not working correctly using the smartbutton menu? She said you might remember how it got fixed... For me, using the smartbutton menu, all the links from quick launch result in the executable file getting loaded into ObjectEdit. Any recollections of that?

sorry you had a bad day at work...

Our taekwondo class is gearing up for a big competition on Aug 31. We do a *lot* of sparring. Great way to get rid of a bad day. Not so good for the sparring partner.

I want to hit somebody very hard >

It is very difficult to explain simple payroll concepts to someone who is too simple to understand. Take Mr X for example, who, for sake of ease of explanation, takes home £200net per week. This week he requires pay, plus a weeks holiday pay (£400net total). OK so far. Last week while I was away on holiday there was a problem with the payroll which nobody knew how to fix. Mr X came to me today, to complain he didn't get paid last week - a result of this problem. Now it gets complicated (apparently). This week he has this weeks tax allowance, plus next weeks (for his holiday) and last weeks (cos he didnt get paid). So, he received in his bank account £450. To put things right I gave him £150 cash. Three weeks pay at £200net = £600 net (£450+£150). Simple! Apparently not. Mr X cannot understand why he is £50 short...ie £150 instead of £200. Doh! No amount of explanation could convince him that the £ in his pocket was correct or that his wife wouldn't hit him for being short of cash. I give up...

I can tell you'll get bored by this so I'm going away to sulk...

I need chocolate desperately...

werewolf sends vast quantities of chocolate through the sub-etheric gateway directly into fuzzy's veins

Thanks werewolf, I need something to sort me out.

I was considering going to see a film tonight. A choice of Eight Legged Freaks, Scooby Doo or Austin Powers Goldmember. Any opinions anyone?

Ogre66 looks at werewolf's post and elvee's post and tries to figure out the dates, or more specifically, the time and why elvee's is after werewolf's

Ogre66 does the timewarp (again)

I don't think so, if you look at joetheblows thread regarding time in NYC, you will see that the subsequent posts from different time zones show the time from the server that they were posted, not the time local to the time zone.

Ogre66 shrugs, it was just an off the wall observation in an off the wall thread so i could reference an off the wall....ummmm...stageplay/film/cult
