Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.
It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.
New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P
Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

back to chocolates... since we belong to different countries and chocolate products certainly differ (except of course for those imported), could you name the most delicious LOCALLY PRODUCED chocolate you've ever tasted?

None is locally produced, it is only locally produced if the cocoa beans are ground there.

We have a chocolate factory in this little East Texas town called Mary of Puddin' Hill. They have some of the most amazing choco sculptures and the most marvelous fudge.

No cocoa trees grow in Cyprus,so we have to homegrown products.Only imported ones here.

Everything good is chocolate in spirit. Therefore everyplace is a potential motherload of goodness. *chomps on a chocolate covered macadamia nut*
gm wanders off to revisit the baby volcano and the filigreed staircase and to check that OC's old oak tree still has the warning sign nearby. Gotta check if the furry tests are still fresh and whether the forest is quiet or not. And if anyone is using the chocuzzi at the moment.

I'm not sure what is local or not. The macadamia nut is, for sure. But I surely do speculate that the only localness in the chockie is the good people who stir up the treats and the little building they stir it up in, and the island peeps who partake and the peeps worldwide who imagine that they are chomping on 100% hawaiian sungrown chockie covered macadamias from the yummy chocolate forest.

In the morning I have coffee... sometimes hazelnut, sometimes something chocolate enhanced. I save most of the last cup and pour it in a big tall glass with a lid. I add some sugar (not very much) and more water. Then I chill it all day long and have iced coffee (for cheap!). That's pretty local since I make it right here in my kitchen. It's pretty exclusive too... since I drink it all up myself and don't share.

We have three chocolate producers here..but they import the raw coco...we have Purdy's (my Favorite) Rogers and Bernard Challabout. Vancouver Island is also getting to be pretty well known for it's local wines and minibrews. We also have SaltSpring Island Coffee... which is locally roasted and ground, but not grown....other things are locally grown and no doubt exported from the gulf islands as well

We don't have a chocolate producer locally, but we do have Bassetts. You know, Liquorice Allsorts, Jelly Babies etc...

Wow...at least it is something good..I needed that after the day I had! When i got my new 'puter..it came with Norton AV installed, sio waited for the trial to expire and then decided to uninstall it and use something else. Thought it would be easy, after all, it has an uninstaller! Nope...it scrambled something called "bits"...then had to try to reinstall SP2...but updates kept telling me it was already installed...then the whole shebang just seized up and I had to do a complete system restore!!! There went my entire day!!

Yup, NAV does not like being uninstalled. I did a clean install of XP to get rid of mine. I'm now happily running on AVG free
