Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Sunday, January 27, 2002 by Elfkura | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

today it was hot! i know this, since the ice cubes were melting even though they were inside the thermos flask

for some strange reason the info from the news that tomorrow is likely to be the hotest day *ever* in England didnt cheer me up much. this is just not normal weather for England.

It's that damned global warming you see. We fry here in England, there's a massive hole in the ozone layer and by next year we'll be left with only an inch of topsoil and then some commies complain about it raining - what the hell is the world coming to?

Just give me a pint and I'll be happy, the rest of you can barbecue your ass in molasses...

In Arizona (or was it Utah or Nevada?) it was so hot (110f) that car windows exploded and dogs burned their feet on the sidewalks (accoring to one news report) a few days ago. We are hot here too, the trades are gone. People walk around with beads of either sweat or condensation on their faces.

On the Chocolate Planet in the Fantasyland Forest behind Old Crabs Treehouse there's a cool, clear, aquifer pool. There's drinks that magically appear as if Laid-off Keebler Elves brought them. Shhhhhhh, don't tell anyone or the whole Planet may invade Old Crabs Cocoa Plantation.

goodmorphing rescues the chocolate planet from oblivion, hugs it, and sets it back where it belongs.

I'm sorry I am not around much. Life is tough right now.

Here is a colour. http://www.haroldsplanet.com/animations/plantcolour.htm

Weaksid walks back from seeing the old wise chocolate oak. Looks around and sees that there isn't much going on. People are tiring out. Too much chocolate, need to add something new to it. Marshmallows maybe? Welcome to the Marshmallow fields. That sounds good.

Fuzzy Logic wanders in for a chocolate nibble. Sigh, time to start work - just enough time to pass this on:-

feline has thought of a new game

we put fuzzy logic and werewolf info two straigh jackets. then we secure the two straight jackets together with some leather straps

we need to make sure that the knecks of the straignt jackets are loose

then we all get a selection of ice cubes, and we chaise fuzzy logic and werewolf around a clearing. everytime we catch them we get to shove ice cubes down the straight jackets!

Sigh, what I wouldn't give for some ice cubes. An incredibly oppresive 32C here today. It's now 11:00 in the evening and I'm wet from head to foot. There's no way to get away from it. If only there was a cool breeze...any breeze...

Fuzzy Logic is just about to start the fourth pint of orange juice today

It's too hot to go chasing round. Let's play another game - everybody lay on the ground belly up and covered in ice cubes.

I'm sorry Fuzzy for the heat. It hasn't been that hot here, but it's been hot enough. I use my AC There we go, Big huge ass coolers we all could lay or play in

We don't have 'AC' here. With summer temperatures mostly between 20C and 24C with the occasional hot day, it's only really worth it for some shops and offices.

Every so often we get a heatwave and lately they have come more often and lasted longer. The current one is 10 days old and has been over 30C every day. I've been to other countries which are much hotter, but it doesn't feel the same. It gets oppressive here once you get to 26C and above. You just end up lethargic.

Fuzzy Logic wants our normal summer back

goodmorphing 's prescription for hot summer night sleeping.... Put a large round fan beside your bed so that it is level with you (well, in my case, since I have a king sized bed and it doesn't matter which way I sleep on it. For another size bed, put it at your head. It should be in front of an open window for best effect). Make sure the oscillation is disabled. Clip a bed sheet on the edges, make sure the back is clear for intake. Turn it on high. The sheet billows out, trapping the current which has only one escape... flowing directly over hot sweaty you and nowhere else! Feels good and you can pretend you are under a grand tent!

We don't have AC either... the building was constructed to catch the trades and when they are gone it is darn hot.
