Msgboard Chatroom Marathon
Sunday, January 27, 2002 by Elfkura | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.
New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P
Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

| the other option is simply that the document on the website is out of date. since there don't seem to be a lot of active plugin developers (*giggles*) perhaps no one has noticed |
That might be the case.
MadIce can send feline the doc and header file he has. OK?
Can I use the e-mail address in your profile?

goodmorphing considers this and wonders what one might counter a spanking with???
A darn good tickling, that might be one thing.
goodmorphing goes off to practice her counterspanking technique on Journeyminx FuzzyLogic!

| ahh well...yes, you are right. this unemployment thing is eating away at everything...self esteem, confidence, ego, id, all that Freud stuff Sometimes it's very hard to hold it all together. I guess I'm just in one of those phases. |
goodmorphing brings wolfie a great bag full of replacement self esteem, new stores of confidence, a nice new super-ego to help keep wolfie's ego and id inline, and a picture of ol' Sigmunds musty old couch..... Just look at that thing, then look at the beautiful stuff you built!Dang, wolfie, when it gets hard for you to hold it all together, bring it in here and we'll hold it for awhile! After all, you're our wolfie!:

#define SD_SET_TEXT 21
*wow*
feline nominates MadIce for "helpful programmer of the month" award
i will play around with those over the next few days
i think i can see where i went "wrong". since this is windows programming, i assumed it was harder than it is
from the example code i have read, DesktopX seems to be providing a fairly complex
interface layer, so there isn't to much need to know anything about "real" windows
programming, at least for now!
i have a copy of the API document from the website, thanks for the offer
at first i found it rather overwhelming and confusing, but i am slowly getting
to grips with it.
feline has a quick nose around in the document
feline ***um*** *unsure*
i have just done a search for "TEXT" in both the document i downloaded from:
https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/developers.asp
and the only reference in the word document is: "SD_SET_TOOLTIP_TEXT"
and the only reference in the "sdplugin.h" is, again, "SD_SET_TOOLTIP_TEXT"
i found and used that, which is how i got my tooltip working
feline wonders if MadIce has access to special secret documentation
more seriously though, i would love a copy of a more complete document, but NOT
if it is stardock private, and shouldn't be released. since i believe you do
work for Stardock, is it possible you shouldn't be passing out some of this info?
it seems odd, but i don't want to get you into trouble
the other option is simply that the document on the website is out of date.

no one has noticed
