Msgboard Chatroom Marathon
Sunday, January 27, 2002 by Elfkura | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.
New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P
Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

The ones of my daughter are more my style. I do a lot of handcolored work (which will be easier once I get going with photoshop) and I do a lot of soft B&W and Sepia work.
If you want to do something real "old school", before there were computers, you could do your own "draw over" of a photo. Take a B&W photo, use indelible ink and draw over it. Then, make a solution of 1 part iodine to 3 parts water. Soak the picture until the silver is gone, and all you have left is the drawing. You can also use a 1 part iodine to 10 part water solution for "aging" B&W prints. I used to do that prior to sepia toning in the Darkroom to give it a different effect. I miss my darkroom..... i still have all the equipment, just no time to do it (that 4 year old sucks up a lot of my time and energy!)
Well, Stardock is off to the Henry Ford Museum today (we take field trips now and then), so I will chat with you guys later!

Errr, how did you know I had a mint chocolate Aero????
Fuzzy Logic is very suspicious of GM's radar - seems uncannily accurate...

i dont even have a camera

although i say i think pictorially, it is more true that i think in terms of shapes and geometry.
partly as a result a lot of pictures i see just leave me cold. i dont see in them what others seem to.
but also that is why i so liked your church roof shot. very geometric and pleasing

right, time for a new plan!
JavaBrain, i think we need to step up the "watching" of fuzzy!
perhaps starting with a full strip search, in case he has any more mint chocolate on him that he has forgotten to mention and share!!!

now, how to prove this
feline suggests a combination of strip searching, rampant tickling, and a lot of spanking!

Fuzzy I like your photography. I used to do pics like that... I never could get the perspective right though. I understand how you set the time delay to get out of the way on that one pic, but I wondered how you kept other people out? Surely that is a crowded walkway. I also really like the stills... especially the window shot. I had a print like that... I made coffee really really strong and soaked the pic overnight in it. It came out nicely aged (a little differently than a sepia tone). Not a lot of BW photographers out there nowadays.
And your pics are very good too, KG. Makes me want to come visit someday...
Gee... all my works are more in manipulating images and sound with HTML and doing animations... no good venue for me I am afraid.
But I am a talented and appreciative viewer... a skilled audience member!
