Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Sunday, January 27, 2002 by Elfkura | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

Feline: Holy Babya Batman. He amuses me; and all the fuss surrounding him is very entertaining.

Your boss won't let you have fancy wallpapers? Kinda strict, ay?

I tried to find you a good color picker with a color wheel, but that combination seems to have eluded me. I didn't have a great deal of time to do this yesterday. Maybe today I'll be a bit more successful.

work claim that the reason my 500mhz machine is so slow is that i use wallpaper and WB.

feline *sigh*

personally i think it has something to do with using Access, Excel, Word and god knows what else.

bit of a long running argument really.

they say "its fast when i use your machie", but they dont load all the documentation i do.

feline is taking up just ignoring boss, since they dont know what they are talking about

yes, but none of them have colour wheels

however, i have developed a cunning plan!

feline patiently waits for the dramatic lightning effects

since work are claim i am being trained in windows programming (insert rude comments about the definition of training) i will try and write a colour wheel program

so, how are we coming along with the smart button question?

also, JavaBrain are you taking notes on all this?

if anyone at stardock can offer some points for further exploration it would be useful.

Your right, being on this thread is confusing. Does color picker have anything to do with smartbuttons? (Starone makes note to check and see if there is any connections. Experiment started.) By the way, did you say you needed me? Can't believe that. I thought you guys were getting along fine without me.

Hi KarmaGirl. Nice to make a new friend. How did you get mixed up in all this craziness?

By the way, Hi Dorren, for the next time you pop in.

Hubby on vacation this week and he hogs the net when he is home. I have to slip in and out occassionally. He's gone for an hour so I seize the opportunity to get on. I thought I had withdrawals, but I believe he takes the cake on that one.

Don't know where Fuzzy is. He seems to be somewhere else now. Don't know where though. (Starone looks in all the hiding places.) Maybe he's heard about me trying to be a cat and looking for a mouse toy. Who knows?

Try to catch everyone later.

you may notice that i dont have any dangly icons on my posts at the moment.

i got fed up with SB's message board handling, so went back to IE.

only problem is that when the site hichups IE can loose posts to

if you produce a big post, copy and paste it into notepad before submitting. a bit more fuss, but has saved me on many an occasion.

Hey starone, as feline says, you don't need a mouse toy when you have me to play with...

Fuzzy Logic notes starone hasn't been tested for furryness yet.

starone: (Starone makes mental note to listen to Feline, Werewolf and Fuzzy with extreme caution.) Who is this 'extreme caution' you refer to? Is this someone else for me to play with?

Fuzzy Logic gets giddy with excitement at the thought of having a new friend to play with.

Feline: I really haven't had time to do the 'rename wb folder>install wb3.4' thing yet. Thing is, I don't really *need* the smartbutton quicklaunch to work, it just bugs me that it doesn't.

I didn't watch the actual show, but I just saw a news item about Christina Aguillera at the MTV Music Awards. She has turned herself into a circus whore. She used to be so sweet and innocent, now she's just.....

I was using the Windows Media Player to copy a CD (one that I had purchased thank you) onto my machine. What's with WMP putting collaborated songs into different folders????? It organizes by artist-album in my music folder, which is fine, but if one song on an album is written by Mr X and another song on the same album is co-written by Ms Y and Mr X, WMP puts those songs in seperate folders. What a total PITA. I guess I'm blind, but I don't see anyway to fix that. Thanks Bill.

I think that the color of the afternoon sky should be changed randomly from day to day. Feline can you get on that one?

The city managers of our city have decided to raise taxes by about 10% which is just *under* the point which would initiate a tax rollback. To compensate for this they are also going to be re-valuing properties for the whole city upward. The school district, the hospital district and the county taxing authorities are also going to be raising taxes. How much representation is there by the taxed public? None. Taxation without representation. Anybody have any large quantities of tea they could give me? Worth cause.

Werewolf fur is a different texture depending on what mood said bi-morph is in during transormation. If I'm in a bad mood, then my fur becomes very bristly, stiff and doesn't smell good. However, my nose smells very well. If I'm in a good, playfull mood, my fur is softer and smells a bit like catnip and cocoa, which precipitates playfullness in those around me. If I'm in a mellow mood and feel like being a kitty bed, my fur becomes very thick and soft indeed and has the warm aroma of sleepy things.

I just read a book called Jeremy Thatcher-Dragon Hatcher (just trying to keep up with what my youngest is reading these days . I learned that dragons very much like milk. Hmmmm. Would dracoform like a big bowl of milk and some chocolate biscuits?

Ok, that's my wierdness for the day.

So, how is everybody doing today? It's Friday with a 3 day weekend for most folks in the US.
