xion gets turned up some!!

well, its been a intersting journey watching neone6 from his humble beginnings here on wincustomize... i still remember inviting him to chat with me on msn
so i could help him with his first windowblind... (now he helps me lol)
and then he turned his artistic hand to cursor fx... and well the list just grew and grew...
Then he discovered xion, and his passion for creating skins for this kick ass music player has become unstoppable!
His passion of course, has turned into downloads...and thousands of them, neone6 has become the most popular skinner for xion, and he has now
recieved a bronze medal for top 3 skinners for xion.
This is some mean feat and not easily achieved in such a short time!
so lets all give this hardstyler a big kudos, huggles and maybe a cake fight , cause he truly deserves our congratties on this!!

The part I like is the unusual approach Andy has. Very high end out of the box. But that's his style and its a good one IMO.

I have a question to ask and figured that being this thread is on xion, i could ask it here rather than start another thread.
I have gimp 2.6.12 , and what I want to know is , can I use that to make a xion skin I want to try to make one but not too sure if I can do it with this program or would I be better off using psp or photoshop both I have but they are on my main PC and that is not working at the moment so I have to use my emachine again. thanks for any help you can give

GIMP supports layers and can save as PSP.
All my (old) xion skins were made with GIMP (I seem to recall needing a plugin . . but it's been a LONG time.
A search at http://xion.r2.com.au/community/search.php for GIMP should help you out.

To expand a little on what Zubaz said:
The problem with using GIMP to make Xion is that GIMP will not group layers together in 'layer sets', so you can't make animations work for Xion. At least that's the way it was when I was using it. GIMP is good to go in every other way for skinning Xion.

thanks peeps, i think i will just wait for starkers to feel better so he can fix my main pc gimp is a little harder to play with cos I am so use to to psp and photo shop but Iwill have a play with gimp just to see how I go with it .... now I wish my ride would hurry I want to go to the gym grrrr it started at 10.30 am it is now lunch grrr not happy rang them a few minutes ago and was told they are on there way I was so pumped this morning

I am proud of this.
I´ve made a difference which has been my intention from the start and I got the medal to show for it (Second actually) so.....
-About the "Cheerleader thing"
Me and Vampothika are a couple...I mean she even sold off all her stuff and moved to S w e d e n from Australia for christs sake so Cheerleading a bit is quite in order I feel. Almost a Must in our special constellation, and for you Zubas to come on to this thread here and go that direction with your comment only makes you look.......
If you have anything else to add to this matter I hope you have the decensy to take it in a PM.
-We made a "XION"-Cake, it was yummies and I will upload the picture later when I get my Cell sorted.
