no i'm not looking for warez iven if it is a demo i just want to try it out and if i like it i just might buy it.

I don't know about demos, but there is a modified version of MAX aimed at game developers. It's call GMAX. The interface is pretty much the same as that of regular MAX, so it might work as a demo. Not sure about which formats it works with, though. Since it's free, I supposed it has several features disabled. You can check it out at: http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/gmax_index.html
I'm not sure what the license agreement is, but it might work for you.

Maya is a really top end Commercial 3D Modelling & Animation package (think 3D Studio MAX)... very expensive as well

Go to www.musiccity.com and download the morpheus file shareing software, its like napster but you can download virtually any software you want if someone has it. Your program that your after is there as i have already downloaded it. Its best if you have a fast connection, i would recommend broadband but a normal dial up modem is ok but takes forever to download. It also is resume supported so it will download where it left off..........regards stu
