windowblinds

Wednesday, January 9, 2002 by raldaman | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I recently downloaded windowblinds but I have to activate it via `program files`. It won`t load at bootup. What haven`t I done? Anybody any ideas? Don`t be too technical though, I`m new at this.

Well, job 1 is to pick a skin. Go to Display Properties, click the "Skins" tab, and pick a skin. Click "Apply." Once the skin is loaded, WB will run on startup until you select "Windows Classic" as your skin, which will return your system to its regular GUI.

Sorry to be obtuse but, as I say, I`m learning by doing...Where is `display properties` ?

right click on an open area of the desktop and choose "Properties" Or you can get there through the control panel by choosing "Display".

Also, if you're having trouble with skins not loading on boot, check out the WB3 Fastload fix at http://www.windowblinds.net/default.asp?page=download

Thanks to both of you but (a) I cannot find a`skins` tab in `properties`, as previously mentioned, is it under another name? and ( I have already downloaded the fastload fix and it doesn`t work (mind you it does mention XP whereas I`m using win98) What else could be wrong?

There's no skins tab??? Maybe you should try uninstalling WB and installing it again.
