UPDATE: Me.

'Bout f*****g time!

Monday, April 9, 2012 by Uvah | Discussion: Community

Dedicated to every person, on every forum that is part of Stardock.

My Toshiba is four months old and she's like...wow! If it weren't for everyone's generous support I would not be able to do what I love doing. So...in order for me to continue doing what I love I got involved in a program that can get me into stable housing. Today I was told that my doctor gave the okay for temporary disability, exactly what I wanted. I had made it clear from the git go that I wanted no free ride. I really don't. I may not be able to do manual labor but...my brain still works. Part of the program enables me to apply for a grant to go back to school. I also had to tell them what I wanted to go for. I want graphics design. I think I'm good enough, somewhat, to show them I can do that stuff. Hell...I've got enough graphics programs lol.

Anyway...all of you have made this possible, I can name names but I'm sure I'll miss somebody. I got support from my family, that's what counts, as many as you are. So to all of WC, Stardock and everyone else. From the bottom of my heart....thank you......thank you.

Aw. College is no free ride, so you don't have to worry about that. Post which school you decide on, I've been considering such a move myself (severe back injury from horse rolling over on me)

That's some freakin' sweet news, Ross.

And you're right, it is about f***ing time! Now remember, when opportunity knocks, kick opportunity in the nuts and hogtie it so it doesn't get away. You could even tie opportunity to a chair and dance around it while listening to "Stuck in the Middle With You" if you wanted.

That's some great news! Good for you, Ross.

I guess stable housing is ok, as long as the horses don't mind.

Ah, but what about the smell?????

Anyhow, it's good to see your life is on the up, Uvah, I'm so pleased for you.  I went back to school when I was in my early 30's to get my Senior Certificate.  It was hard work but it was also fun and rewarding, so all the best with it, mate, and no schoolboy crushes on the school ma'am.

As fer the smell, well I reckon the horses will just have to get used to it. [j/k]

That is great news Uvah ! I always worry about you and your safety.Don't worry about the disability and free ride thingy. I'm on complete disability and have been for quite some time. I'm completely blind in my right eye. I can still drive and ride "Matilda" though,  thank goodness, although it does take me about twice the normal time to do work on my graphics. But it's something that I enjoy and it keeps the depression away. So I don't feel that I'm on any "free ride" that's for sure , I would give anything to have my vision back !  But anyway, I digress, .....hope God continues to bless you my friend      -- Ace --
