One of the goodies floating around the lab that gets worked on occasionally during holidays is a fully working Aqua dock complete with the "Genie" morphing effect.

Don't ask me for a copy of this as it probably will never exist outside our offices for legal reasons but it's still pretty neat.

i don't think 'jealous' adequately describes the feelings i'm feeling right now...

more like when you see a giant box under the xmas tree, and you open it, and there's a post it note at the bottom of the box saying you were bad and you get no pressies...

Okay, here's another.

One of these features will be in Object Desktop. Can you pick out non-standard Windows features in this one:

I hate you all, I hope you understand that

For those of you who don't like software patents, well here's an example of what software patents can do. Apple has a patent on the dock and how it functions. If we wanted to make something like this ito a product it owuld have to do a LOT more things so that its principle reason for existing isn't to copy the aqua dock.

It DOES do a lot of things as it is... It's causing me a major case of jealousy, for one

Is Stardock hiring right now? I'll forego salary, I just wanna play around with the dock

Gimmee, Gimmee, Gimmee!! I want it NOW!
Brad you are so cruel, teasing us with this.
My friend came to my house yesterday with his Apple Powerbook running osx, and I thought that feature looked real cool. And now you tell us we could have it in DX!!! So cruel.......

Not part of DX. It's a seperate thing, literally a program called ObjectDock. DesktopX can't do this.

am i the only one here who isnt interested in object dock?
feline thinks you people hardly run any (many)programs at once
feline thinks dual taskbar object bar themes are the way forward

however, that window with trianges in the tree view was nice. when can i make powerdesk do that then???
