server on the planet pluto?

The lag on this web site is incredibly bad. Wincustomize has always been the best web site for veiwing and downloading skins but lately it takes 2 minutes to even get a page up.Whats going on..has the server been moved to the far reaches of planet pluto?

No, the problem is that the server is currently in transit to Pluto.

its currently a tad cold and loanly on pluto, and the server just looked so warm and cuddly. anyway, i thought that it would be nice for it to get out and about, broaden its horizons so to speak

Please wincustomize server,come back to earth.Pluto is to far and we bored humans need new eye candy for our windows.Windowblinds 3 is coming out tomorrow and there are going to be alot of us humans asking questions and new themes to download.If you come back from pluto we promise to all start behaving and not be starting any more wars.We will all live in weblinds harmony and creativity!

Normally WinCustomize is a clustered network. But we recently switched providers from Verio to UUnet and we had to physically ship the machines there.
To reduce down time, we split up the cluster. In a nutshell it means right now the entire site is being run on an underpowered P2 server while the other machiens are in transit from Verio to UUnet.
Next week they should arrive and then we'll be back up to full power.
It's not bandwidth, it's CPU utilization. That's why the wallpaper section has been down, it gets the most SQL queries.
