1 pixel gap between windowframe and scrollbar--SOLVED
Friday, January 20, 2012 by k10w3 | Discussion: SkinStudio Help
I'm having a problem with a WB I'm making in FireFox. There is a 1 pixel gap between the scrollbar and the right and left side of the per pixel windowframe, as shown in this illustration. I can't figure out if it's a problem with the Windowframe or the scrollbar. Any ideas on what to try to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Drats! I was hoping there was something I could do to fix it. Well, thank you very much for checking it out for me, Vamps. I do so appreciate it.

This happened in a skin I was doing also and I had to fool around with the top and bottom paint margins I think.

Thanks, Tom. I'm trying that now, and not making any progress.
You wouldn't be willing to take a look at the .wba and see if I've done something wrong, would you? I don't know if it's all the stress I'm under or just having to deal with winter for the first time in 14 years, I just don't feel like I'm as sharp as I used to be with these things.

I had a look at your WB Karen and first of all let me tell you that is some top notch work! It appears though that the issue is with Firefox itself on Windows 7 and not with the WB, as it does it in just about any WB I apply and the background color of the line is 151,151,151 in all cases. If you look closely too you will notice that the line is also on the inside of the left frame and at the top of the bottom frame. So there is apparently nothing you can do. I also opened IE9 while I was at it, and it is even worse with a 2 pixel line of different colors in those same areas. Apparently it is something to do with the browsers themselves though for the most part. To confirm things and just for the heck of it I loaded your skin in Windows XP, and the issue did not exist in Firefox, but it did in IE8.
Browser and/or OS issues are the culprits! Don't you just love skinning!
Sorry I could not resolve it for you.

Oh, well. I guess there are worthier things to obsess over than the 1 pixel WB malfunction in FireFox. At least it skins my work platform program perfectly and that's the one I have to look at the most. Thank you so much looking it over for me.

Really? You were that eager to use your new Derp-O-Gram graphic?

To anyone who has this issue in the future, I've discovered the solution. If you go in the Extra Settings tab in for the Border Caption, and give the Aero Frame Color a value, the gap goes away.
