Beware the ides of Tuesday......

Norton Antivirus code to be released

Yama Tough he calls himself. Took the source code off of Indian government servers. Those using Norton should think twice.

Not a surprise - http://drjbhl.joeuser.com/article/414984/Parts_of_Symantec_Code_Exposed

The problem resides not with Norton, in this case. The problem resides with the Indian Army servers' security. Norton (and others, no doubt) were trying to sell their product to the Indian Army to improve its security. "No good deed goes unpunished", as the saying goes.

I wonder what else they managed to get. Hopefully not much, as India is a nuclear power.

I hope this has no ill effect on individual users, but I suspect it will depending on where they cruise and what they decide to open.... and install.

I also hope "Yama Tough" (real tough behind a keyboard, that is) gets nailed, but good.

Wow, India are really going out of their way to make friends and influence people, lol.

But if the code gets out, say here in the states or in the UK or OZ, it could wreck havoc on everyone who is using Norton. After all ... Yama has the key and is going to or threatening to, post it on Tuesday. If he does anyone could get their hands on it and do whatever.
