gender
Friday, October 26, 2001 by feline | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
It seems from what people are saying that my mind appears to sit somewhere between male and female genders.
This seems quite normal to me, but seems to be generating un-necessary confusion. So lets turn the question on its head. According to certain philosophical thinkers (that would be me
) my current body is only a transitory collection of molecules (which most here are unlikely to ever meet), while my mind has and will exist across many many bodies. So if for the sake of postings on this board my body is ignored, what is my gender, and does it matter?I suspect the only reason it matters is that people react differently to me if I am perceived as male or female. But surely I am just me? A lot of people who have met me would agree that “me” is sufficient definition

So I am curious, why do people think that I am the gender that they think I am, does it matter to them, and if so why?
feline decides this is all far to serious, so time to change tack

if the majority conclude my mind is primarily female, is it ethically acceptable for me to use my long lashes and preoccupying cleavage to get chocolate out of men?

ps for the sake of Jafo, I have made an exception and put this though Word, so any remaining spelling issues should be referred to Microsoft

Therefore, whether a person was male, female, gay [male], gay [female], transexual [with or without 'gender correction'], or re-incarnated as a frog, they will be treated equally [or suffer the wrath of Jafo]....

It's just good to know 'who' you are talking to...

in a sence this is the point i have been hanging onto all this time. "what" and "who" i am are determined by my mind, while my current body (along with a collection of glands) is just along for the ride

as for the 'wrath of Jafo', i think that this silly english language is enough to keep us going for now

feline decides to clarify the situation by confusing it

look, its simple
Elfkura is known to be an elf, and elf royalty at that. it is well known that elf's live in the heart of the elf forrest, where many of the trees are silver, and unicorns roam freely.
the obvious question is why people dont see this, and that is because elf's have glamor, i.e. they have the knack of twisting human perceptions.
the upshot is that anything that a human thinks they perceive about an elf is suspect. as for being a tomboy, Elfkura spends a lot of time in the forests, "camping out", which is traditionally a male activity.
see, its easy when you know whats going on, just ask the dragons, for they know these things.

are you sure?

Doreen - I was just curious after I seen some strange remarks you directed to me
Doreen - however you happen to be one of those rare ppl that I cannot read at all... hehehe
flatterer
anyway, its fairly easy actually. you just have to work out which one of me was behind a particular statement. was it me (feline), the dark me (dracoform) or was it glandular inspired?
Doreen - in real life there's usually some hidden agenda w/ the ppl you meet up front
specially if you're female...
all these men chaising you for your mind alone, you have my sympaties

He's a he. In his bio, his name is Colin (I don't know any females who are named Colin). Also, you really don't see many females online who aren't perfectly clear about what ther gender is. (Unless we're talking about Elf... but that's a different case).
And, as far as I know, "gender" *does* refer to your physical being, not your mind (though, you can change that, if you want, with a little surgical help.
)Anyway, Feline, does it really matter if you are male or female? It doesn't matter at all to me, as long as you are being really you.
Just look at Kenray's picture of himself and himself. He looks better in a skirt than most women I know. So who cares what gender he is, as long as he is being himself. (If women can dress in pants and button down shirts, why can't men dress in skirts?)
Of course, Feline, like most people, I try to get a mental picture of people who I talk to online. So, I just visualize you as a man dressed up like cat woman...
Either way- I'll still share my chocolate with you....

My hairy legs would do more harm than good if unleashed upon the public accompanied by a skirt
