What programming Language does Stardock use?

I am currently in college learning programming and am thinking about experimenting on game programming and was wondering what language would be best?

I know that SD is using several languages. Most developers use VC. Others use Delphi. The VB based programs are being ported to VC.

At work (I am a games programmer) we use C++. This is because C++ has a lot of support. Games engines are in C++. APIs are often in standard C.

We use whatever we find to be most effective for a different project. The right tool for the right job. Sometimes ASM, sometimes C++, sometimes object pascal (Delphi), sometimes VB. We use them all.

Are you sure you are talking about the games? You probably know best, but I thought you were using VC and used a games library you developed called "Pear".

On the games it's C++. Pear is written in C++, it's a set of libraries we created to handle all the GUI stuff in DirectX. Very powerful.
