Down and safe...

Thursday afternoon I had an operation on my back. For the techncally minded it was a micro discectomy and decompression L5 root S1 left side.
The op was a complete success with no complications!
However, for the next two weeks, I'm not allowed to sit for more than 15 minutes at a time. My online activity will be almost non-existant because of this 
Have to go, run out of time already! See you soon.

Ahhh yes, the old L5 disc and I mean old literally (considering it's gone)! Mine shattered completely when I was 23 years old. POOF!!! Gone ...... they called it "degenerative spinal arthritis". 
Spinal problems are no fun at all, let me tell you! Best wishes on your recovery Fuzzy!

Back pain, eh? Got some of that right now, and in my neck - cruel as - but I'm told surgery is not an option. Too risky, they say, though I'd bet pounds to a pinch of shit that if I had private health insurance some surgeon would be only too willing to cut me open.
Anyhow, Fuzz, all the best to you and I hope your healing is fast and relatively painless.

Feeling quite well at the moment. No complications or infections, don't need any painkillers at all. It couldn't have gone better.
Starkers - I know what you mean. I got the NHS to pay for mine to be done at a private hospital http://www.hmthospitals.co.uk/claremont/ So what I should have had done 4-5 years ago only took about 6 weeks to get going 
Have to go now. I've had my 15 minutes online I have to do some exercises then go for a short walk. Then it will be lunch time...

Glad there's little or no pain, Mike. The "4-5 years ago" thing... the surgery done on you wasn't as developed then and your surgeon has had the benefit of those 4-5 years of experience, as well... so, have no regrets.
