NextStart Help... pretty please?!?!

I'm having a problem wiht an NS theme I am workin on and was hoping someone wouldn't mind helping me out a little.
The problem is, when I pull a menu down from a horizontal menu, the endcap looks like it's trying to tile itself rather than staying straight. but when I open up a sub menu from the one pulled down from the H menu, it straightens up and looks the way it is supposed to. I checked all the images, and nothing is out of order there. Everything in the "preferences" seems to be ok, all the sizes set and everything.
I've never had this problem before, and have no idea what it might be. I'm hoping someone here can help me out. here is a screenshot of what is happenning:

Rats....and here I was all ready to help the Crazy Girl....[not having a clue about the Nextstart prob, but eager to save a Damsel-in-distress]...
