Treeview text color?

Wednesday, June 30, 2004 by Satans Child | Discussion: Stardock Software

can anybody tell me what attribute needs to change to change the color of the treewiew text? Right now it's black and I can't seem to find the attribute. Or .... can I add an attribute for it? Please

treeview text is the normal text under colors....if your talking about how it shows up in SKS....not changing....you have to close SKS then re-open it for the changes to show there

SNK .... closeing it did the trick, thank you.

One more question... I'm not sure the correct name but in PS7 .... all the menus and text show black there as well .... any idea of how to change these colors? Makes it very difficult to read with this dark skin.

Not sure....since I don't have Photoshop, but try setting, under colors the color attributes for menus and also under controls => menus => bar items there's an attribute for setting unskinned colors on the menubar.

Well those didn't work Essencay but thanks for the reply.

For anybody interested ... I wasn't able to find a text setting that would enable me to see the text clearly in PS7 useing the JetBlack skin however, a slight adjustment to the Colors>Button-Face and all was well.

If anybody comes up with the text setting though I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but,

When you click on a 'Tool' in PS, I think Miscellaneous/Colors > 3D Controls/Button-Shadow determines the pressed color.

And on the Layers, History, etc. tabs, the ~S e l e c t e d~ item is determined by Miscellaneous/Colors > Selections/Background-Highlighted

I didn't check before posting this but I believe paintshop pro (i know its not the same as paintshop but I assume the issue is the same) gets its menu color from misc/colors/3d controls/text-system button. Remember I am not exactly sure but give it a try.

pictoratus, thanks for your response but thats not quite what I'm looking for. When you first open PS and all the little menus are opened, on JetBlack, everything is very dark including the text. I was just looking for a setting that I could adjust to get the text itself, in the normal state to be a lighter color. I just can't find it. There should be a setting somewhere I would think, then again, there I go thinking again.

NightTrain2002 ... I have that setting set but it isn't the one I'm looking for. Thanks for helping though, it's appreciated.

Are you really talking about menus, or are you talking about tool palettes, and such?

Koasati .... YES ... tool palettes. Sorry, I didn't think of the proper term but that is what I'm talking about. Sorry for any confusion.
