Is this going to change?
Not bitching, just asking so if it isn't, I can quit checking.

Quoting starkers, reply 19Nah, I recommend going for something that's just average... about 11" should do the trick.
Starkers never did understand we went metric back in the 70's...
Exactly!!! Which is why I still use the old-school ruler.
Shoot, I still use old-school scales as well.... cos 14 stone sounds a lot better than a 100 and something kilos.

Since so many of the perks that we were offered as a subscriber no longer exist, such as the personal page, photo gallery, subscriber skins etc are no longer available, could someone explain exactly what is the advantage of subscribing other than ad free browsing?
Just asking.

Most of those were gone ages ago, and note the price for subscribing has gone down significantly.
Reply #32 Tuesday, November 1, 2011 12:40 PM
Well I subscribe because I want to continue to have access to the the WinCustomize Gallery Libraries.
If not for them then there really isn't much need for a Object Desktop subscription. Yes I know there are a few sites left in the community where some skinners upload their skins but they could never handle running the full libraries.
Now lets get back on track with the OP.

Reply #22 I can take. Reply #23 just shot the whole day to hell.

You get access to me.
I'm a WinCustomize exclusive not available on any other site.
(Unless it's another SD site)
.027 cents a day, I'm a bargain at half that price.
Seriously though, what we spend keeps me here, keeps you here and keeps the spammers someplace else.
Imho, just having the site mods and Admin that we have here is well worth the cost of a sub, without any other perks.

They make things into a joke, then they don't have to fix it.
WAKE UP!

WAKE UP!
If you'll read the thread, Chas, it's pretty much been said it isn't getting fixed.
That seems to be remnants from the old site. It'll go away eventually, I guess.

Starkers never did understand we went metric back in the 70's ..... 11cm, not inches....
