I knew about the internet non-availability but wasn't too sure if I'd get around to doing it myself as I'd had a rough night [damned pain and insomnia again] and ended up sort of sleeping in 'til midday ...ish... then I had to go grocery shopping before the supermarket closed at 5.00pm. 

Yeah, they take an early mark Saturdays so staff can go clubbing/partying, etc.  Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Anyhow, I digress... as usual.

So!  I'm left behind... AGAIN, and miss out on all the fun... the arrival of Mia-Rose n all.

.... and being a pirate I be used ter waters breakin' [tho usually o'er tha bow]... so I could 'ave bin of 'elp.  Even if it wur only ta git them thar scurvy swabs ter swab tha deck afterwerds.

Worse still, my orgy guests haven't turned up and I'd feel a bit of a dill blowing up all these condom-shaped party balloons just for me.

Not one guest!  I'm wondering if it was the mention of "BYO Viagra" on the invites... or if it was the "All are welcome, but ladies, feel free the leave your worst.... er, other half at home if you so desire."

Oh well, it just means more finger food for me... and shandy! Gotta have me a few shandies on such an auspicious occasion.

Yup, I'll follow in the old Irish tradition of wetting the babies head... but with a shandy or three instead of whiskey, then it's early to bed for me, cos frankly, I'm quite knackered.  Apart from the fact I got very little sleep last night/early this morning, then walked 5kms to the shops for groceries, the thought of all that childbirth stuff has just plum tuckered me out. 

Orright, one shandy was enough... 'night all.

Yeah, I so neglected to leave congratulations for Karen on her entry into the grandparents club... tut, tut...naughty, naughty me.

[okay, so I was tired, feeling knackered and out of it... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it]

Anyhow, Karen, a big congrats on becoming a grandma... may it provide you many, many years of pleasure as you watch them grow.

Yeah, I have a few rough nights here and there, but I don't ever let it ruin my love of life and a good laugh.  I adjust by catching a few zzzz's when I can and all is good.

As for the orgy, I should explain....so's folks don't get the wrong idea...

A couple or so years ago, give or take, Shaunna was off down the street to post a letter [about a 15 -20 minute walk there and back], and as she was just about to leave I chimed in with: "Well you could have given me a bit more notice....."

"Why's that?" she inquired... I suppose to see if I wanted anything from the shops or something....

".....so's I could have sent out a few invites to an orgy while you were away."

Sure, like I could have held an orgy in the 20 or so minutes she may have been gone.... but the joke stuck, and now every time Shaunna is away [or is going away] it inevitably comes up again.... usually with a slight variation/twist to keep it amusing.

Oh, and thank you to everybody for the congrats and happy thoughts... you're all wonderful and lovely people.

woot the kids got their house phone on and also now have internet so now i am able to show all you lovely folks some pictures  that i have taken of my  2 boys and my little princess . thank you one and all for all the kind words and thoughts and a HUGE thank you to Doc for this post   it means  the world to me that I could still keep in contact with and still have this posted . so without further delay here are the pictures.
