MotoGP time

I don't often post about when I'm 'off to the races' but this one I'm looking forward to.
Stoner 'could' clinch the Championship at home at Phillip Island this weekend.
Now, if only he took a cue from the likes of Hayden, Corser, Roberts, Bayliss, etc. and actually gave some time to drop into the Marshal's Muster 'shed' he'd likely find 300 -odd officials even more enthusiastic about his prowess....
Being 'down the Island' means I get a 'holiday' from the Internet [no phone line] though standing trackside for 3 days in whatever 'weather' we get probably isn't everyone's idea of what constitutes a holiday..... but a change is as good as...
A 'Jafo' at the Moto is both on the comms AND the waver of the Yellow flag. [supposedly shorter delays in responses] but we're often busier than a one-armed paper-hanger.
Anyway....catch you all on the flipside...
BoXXi ....still...if I get the chance I'll chase up Rossi's autograph...

Back.
Oz has a new World Champion.....congrats, Casey.
I'm sure he didn't want to win the way he did....Lorenzo lost part of his finger...between Turn 11 and 12 .... on the Warmup Sunday Morning.
Rossi came off on 10 ... I was at 9.6 [50m brake-marker to 10 ].
Field of 17 .... 3 scratched due to injuries sustained... Grid of 14 .... and lost 4 of those during.... so 10 finished.
Phillip Island is one of the fastest tracks on the calendar ... I think the fastest speed clocked was 336 kph [about 210 mph].... so it's dangerous and can 'bite'.
The 'polite' word for the weather was 'iffy'.....

Losing part of a finger might really impact his future... sad to hear, but happy you're back.
