Windows 7 Starter

Monday, October 3, 2011 by crotty09 | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Besides my notebook I came here with before with a query I also have a little netbook running Windows 7 starter. Can I run WindowBlinds on it please?

Thank you.

Some if not all of Stadocks products will not run on a starter version. Sorry.

The product page lists this in system requirements:

Windows XP (32-bit) with Service Pack 3, Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit) in versions (Home, Basic, Premium, Ultimate, Business, Enterprise) and Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit).

IIRC, WindowBlinds will work fine in Starter, but you'll have no Aero.

You can download the trial and see if it does what you want.

Just in case anyone wonders if it would work, I installed the program, it went ok and I could apply a skin but it was choppy, boggy and interfered with the display too much, so I uninstalled it. It's a shame as it would be nice to add a little colour to my netbook. Thanks for the help.
