Showing wrong res on Windows 8 developer preview

Wednesday, September 28, 2011 by 2of3 | Discussion: Personal Computing

I recently installed the Windows Developer Preview version of Windows 8 on my old xp lappy. The install went fine, but I'm having a problem with the screen resolution. The max setting is 1024x768 while it should be 1280x800.

Device manager says that all my drivers are up to date and DriverMax agrees.

Any advice?

On a side note......so far I'm hating the green color on the start screen

What is the model of your laptop?  It took some searching, luck and trial and error but I've found drivers for old XP desktops that would work with Vista/7. Not saying any exist for your rig, but I'm willing to help search.
