down with mac icons! ;)

Don't get me wrong, I love Mac's! But do we really need 20394820394823466 different kinds of mac icon parodies for Icon Packager? There is a 6 segment series of mac icons where the only change in each of them is the color of the folder icon! Com'on people! If you wanted a mac you would have bought one! We don't need to try and make PC's look like Mac's. I you wanted a Mac you should have bought one!

You could say the same about the 1234354545656 different XP icon sets.
If you want XP go and buy it (at your peril )

Well, it just so happens that 90% of the good icon artists are Mac users. A lot of PC icons are nothing just the result of their work converted in PC format.

Settle down, pal. No one's forcing you to download them, much less use them.

Some of the best icons I have ever seen have been from the Mac artists. I have downloaded numerous Kalidescope schemes, converted the icons to Win platform, and made IconPackager themes from them. Of course they will never be distributed, as I didn't draw them. The Mac people were doing graphic art back when the Wintel crowd (including me)was still staring at a blinking green C prompt.

If you really don't like the mac style, make something you do like it and try to disrupt the trend. An influential icon set can change the scene far more than just talking about it.

Wow guys, I wasn't saying I didn't like mac icons. I've got both systems here, a Vaio and a G4, so I do have tons of icon sets, mostly mac. My meaning was only that if people are going to make an icon set, mac or not, it should be original and have style rather than creating the same ol' over and over again. However, responding to what Jafo said, I think XP is ugly that bright green and bright blue 'chrome' attempt is tacky.. That's why I'm here! Have to find something to get away from the everyday windows and mac look.

Yes....XP is ugly, but fortunately it can be changed. 'Tis such a pity that everything 'XP' is so darn popular....but there is no accounting for taste...
