Silly words... phrases... :o)

ok so...

Friday, July 29, 2011 by vStyler | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I dunno... maybe I'm a nut job... but for a loooong time, as long as I can remember... I have had this absolute yearning to come up with, and speak, write..

..silly words.. and phrases..

I seriously, on a daily basis, several times a day, call my wife, the kids, my friends... the most ridiculous words imaginable...

examples?... sure..

I call Tom ( Lightstar ).. Boddy, Boppo, Chogo, Bongo, Bonki... you get the idea...

Wife.. I frequently say.. what's going on in here.. Conch bird..   Or.. Mrs Pinkerton trunks.. or.. ya damn bugger..

Kids?  don't even get me going

I know this is ridiculous, but I just don't care... Band names?  Ive considered The pungency boys, The Chumbats, Hagga Dagga, and a host of other equally stupid things.

So, I have to wonder, does anyone else suffer from this affliction??

I dare ya... come out of your shell, I know.. some folks are equally as silly... anything you come up with has to be completely original, AND... thought of before by you.. not.. made up just for this post..

Why do you think i always type... BUNP! ??

I always thought it was because you're a knut...

it's true... his 'coffee' is... 'snaffington'...   etc etc.... it's like one has to learn a complete new language code for msn...

I must admit... we do it in our house as well.... mostly not for air though... people have different senses of humour.... ours is a little twisted...

school teachers tended to look at you funny if they heard you call your child, Snivelling Little Rat Faced Git... you soon sorted out the Python people from the non Python people...

When my son and step daughters were younger though... we had our own little language of words backwards.... for out in public... came in very handy...

somehow... Spike Milligan doesn't seem so bizarre does he... well, actually, yes he was...    but great bizarre...

I wrote a story at school once and the main character was named Anglebar Diddleybud... others were named Icabod Snapsnot; Dubchin Sniggardoo; Ochre Dibknees.

I still remember these weird names [from around 45 years ago]because I used them when telling my kids bedtime stories... and now my grandkids.

And the stories... well they're just a load of old nonsense, but the kids love them.

"If you end up killing yourself I'll never speak to you again"

"Bend over, Laddy, this is going to hurt me a lot more than it's going to hurt you"  I never understood that one.. as I copped yet another dose of corporal punishment at school.

Here's one from a comedy giant of the 70's....

My brother and I have done this thing since we were kids: when speaking and writing to each other, all vowels in every word have an "o" sound. Ex: wohcho doe bro, dronkon woe? (whatcha doing bro, drinkin wine?)

It`s silly as hell and we don`t always get what the other one is saying, LOL.

Anglebar Didleybud was off to the market to buy a funderduck  for dinner because his uncle, Furdledid was coming to visit.  Funderduck was Uncle Furdledid's favourite and they would boil it in brattle juice until it was tender.  After dinner they would watch the Magic Roundabout before bedtime, and in the morning they would go into the garden to plant asperdandywods. They did this every year, and when they were ripe they'd take them to the market and sell them to the chinderwags who made them into chubbly sandwiches for their afternoon teas.....

Yeah, this is the kind of nonsense I tell my grandkids for bedtime stories.  I always make it up as I go along and though the characters always remain the same I never ever tell the same story twice... anyway, it give you the general gist of it.

I think that's where I get my inspiration... and I've always been up for a bit of nonsense, so it comes quite naturally

I had thought of that, but every man and his dog seem to be doing childrens stories since the birth of Harry Potter, so getting a look in with a publisher is nigh on impossible.

Anyhow, I have a sore dandlewod and I have to get ready to go see the medicrumb.  Last time she walked up and down my dandlewod until it cracked back into place.  It seemed to do the trickle, and I was up and abrattle in no time.  I just hope this time she takes off her stilettos, because last time she left a few portaholes in my dandlewod that were deep enod to plant brittlebrax and a few skillywids.....
