PNG

Hi all,

Maybe a stupid question from a complete newbie, but what program do you use to create PNG files? I just tried saving a picture as a *.png but DesktopX comes up with something like: "...only supports 24 and 32 bit png"
I used Micrografx PicturePublisher 8.

BTW, how do I search these boards?

Thanks

Um, Photoshop. But I always thought .png's were always 24 bits (and 8 bits of alpha). Maybe there are some settings in PicturePublisher regarding .png's? Otherwise you can use free programs like IrfanView to convert to .png (but I think you'll loose the alpha layer then).

Check out these links for .PNG:

As far as searching the boards, your guess is as good as mine.
