Look at the total amount of downloads and the date the skin was uploaded. That's N-Gauge-Ment by k10w3 and yes its a well crafted blind. You'll find its quite recent. Two 'thousand' thirteen is not too shabby to date.

 Colors used and design play a big part in that decision.  I also have a feeling that folks download skins that they will use, not just because they 'like' them. 

One thing I learned a long time ago...is that people are fickle and unpredictable when it comes to what they like. Learn to live with it.

Well, absolutely NOT my taste, so I wouldn't use it. 1 Downloader less. No really, there would be some points I could say about this skin, like FOR ME the windows and the taskbar don't work well together and the pink in there is over the top FOR ME, but that is personal taste really...

It maybe good, but by far not the best skin I have ever seen. Everyone will see that different.

Perfectly beautiful skin... well crafted, imaginative, yet in keeping with Navigatsio's intent. 

How many times should I download it?

neone6 - I understand your thought but you have to stop and not worry about ratings and downloads. Some things will get more and some less and it will never change. WebGizmos said it correctly and not worth worring about. If you have fun and enjoy what you do than that is all that matters. Some will download some won't and some will leave a good comment and some may not. If I worried about that stuff all the time I wouldn't make anything. Relax my friend and enjoy.

I know who made that skin but it doesn't change the fact that not everyone is going to download it all. You are making your own skins with your own style and bet you enjoy doing it. So takes what comes and accept it because I know you don't want jafo's chisel, as he can be a mean old bird. Not like Doc as he is just a sweet, gentle man. Yea right isn't that some BS I said.

It might have to do with the fact that I don't skin for XP and Vista, since I don't have those operating systems.  It might have to do with the fact that a bunch of people like minimal skins, and my stuff is a little more outside the box.  Maybe it has to do with the fact that some people just don't like me, and I'm fine with that. 

I don't upload my work to get a lot of stars or a huge download count.  Those things used to matter to me, but so much has happened to me since then, in my private life and in my life here, that I realized in the big scheme of things, this little skinning hobby of mine and my uploads are pretty meaningless.  I'm not trying to please anyone but myself, and I share because it feels good to share, but sharing is not forcing people who don't want what I'm sharing to take what I'm offering.  WinCustomize could disappear tomorrow and nothing in my life would change -- I would still make skins for myself; I would still find a place to share them with others who might want them, and that would still make me happy.  People who don't want what I'm offering don't matter to me--they're just other people with different tastes; I'm not going to waste any of the precious time I have left in my life making converts of anyone.  There's too much fun to be had doing other things besides trying to sell stuff to people who don't want it.

I appreciate you, Andy, for even wondering why these things are, but to me, what REALLY matters, is here's a place on the internet where I meet you, and you meet me, and we appreciate each others work, we encourage each other, we help each other grow--why should we interrupt that sort of bliss trying to figure out people who aren't like us?  Let's just keep enjoying skinning, and enjoying each other.
