Product Registrations and You!

How to get the Stardock software you paid for.

Monday, June 27, 2011 by Rosco_P | Discussion: Stardock Support General

Greetings, friends!

We've been getting a lot of questions about how to download and install your Stardock software purchases from both the past and present (and future, too, I guess).  Well, here's the skinny on that.  Get it?  'Skin'ny?  *sigh*

Anyway, at the moment we are in a transition period.  Specifically, we are transitioning away from Impulse being your main download and update method.  Going forward, you can access all of your registrations and download links for Stardock software by logging in here:

https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

This will give you a list of everything that is on your account, along with your serial numbers and installer download links.  That's right, download links directly to the latest stable version of the software.  Let's all pause to let that sink in.

...

Ok, then.  Each application should prompt for activation the first time, just type your email address, and copy/paste from the page into the window, and you should be all set.

As always, keep in mind that trial versions of our software are not upgradable to the full versions by entering a product key, and they must be uninstalled and the PC rebooted before installing the full version of any program.

Common issues:

"I don't see [program name] listed, what happened to it?"

If you have registrations on more than one email address, you'll need to get them on the same account.  If you have access to both email addresses, you can merge them together here:

https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations/

If you don't have access to both, send an email to [email protected] with an order or serial number, or billing address for verification, and we'll merge them together for you.

"I just renewed my Object Desktop subscription, and Impulse still says it's expired!"

Because Impulse is now owned by Gamestop, your renewal only affects the Stardock side of things, so Impulse can't know that you've renewed.  You will need to use the new download page to access the software.

"What about my games?"

If you've purchased any Stardock gaming titles (GalCivII, Sins, Demigod, Elemental), those will still be handled through Impulse.  This site is for non-gaming software only.

"What about [problem that I haven't thought of yet]?"

Either post it here, or email [email protected] for assistance.  If you're posting here, try to avoid posting things like serial numbers or personal email addresses.

That link is for gamers only.

No, that's the right one.  That will reset your Stardock account password.

https://services.stardock.net/accounts/resetpassword.aspx

And yes, you can uninstall Impulse if you wish.

Jafo is in bed...lol.

I started to, but is it worth it?

I am obsessive/compulsive. It takes a lot of self restraint to leave that kinda stuff alone. I realize that some take it as me being a smart ass. OCD is real, and I'm the poster child...lol.

Wrong use of there/their is trumped by glorious use of colored text in my opinion.

DisturbedComputer: I'm sorry I missed your post, but I'm only one man.  :/  I had someone take a look at it, and they fixed a few issues.  Here's as much as I can give you about your list:

Stardock Central Component Manager - You can safely ignore this.  You have a registration on your account for it, so it shows up.  It will most likely be removed soon.
Object Desktop (S) upgrade/renewal with ObjectDock Plus - Ignore the link, it's just a record that you have a registration on your account.
Object Desktop - Ignore the link, it's just a record that you have a registration on your account.
Object Desktop Renewal (1 year) - Ignore the link, it's just a record that you have a registration on your account.
Object Desktop Ultimate (Upgrade) - Ignore the link, it's just a record that you have a registration on your account.
IconX 1.10 - Works for me.
RightClick 1.20 - Works for me.
SkinStudio Professional 5.01 - Works for me.
WindowFX 2 3.00a - Works for me.
Bullet Candy - This is a video game, use Impulse.
Object Edit - Discontinued, no longer available.  (I recommend Notepad++.)
BootSkin Edit - Discontinued, no longer available.
BootSkin Vista Edit - Discontinued, no longer available.
ControlCenter - Link now available.
Desktop Gadgets - Discontinued, no longer available.
Enhanced File Dialog - Discontinued, no longer available.
WindowFX 3 - The link under WindowFX 2 actually links to this.
Stardock Bitmaps - Discontinued, no longer available.
Tab Launchpad - Discontinued, no longer available.
TweakShell - Discontinued, no longer available.
Tweak Vista - Link now available.  It shows as Tweak7, but will install properly on Vista.
Object Desktop - Ignore the link, it's just a record that you have a registration on your account.
Object Desktop Premium Skins - Could you be more specific about what is missing for you?
ObjectMedia - Discontinued, no longer available.
DesktopX 4 - Beta
DesktopX Professional - Link shows up if you purchased it. (Not a part of Object Desktop)
Tweak7 - Link now available.
SoundPackager - Link now available.
IconDeveloper - Link now available.
DesktopX - Link now available.
Tiles - Beta

Sorry, copy/pasta error.  That one has a valid link, but only if you purchased it (which he didn't).  Updated my previous post.

Tweak7 and TweakVista point to the same file, Tweak7_enhanced_setup.exe 5,200,352bytes.  Is that right?

Otherwise looking good, thanks Rosco!

(I presume DriveScan, ObjectZip, Object Desktop Launchpad are discontinued no longer available.)

Question.....it appears that all the MyColors themes require to install MyColors. Do we install MyColors for each and every theme? Is that a tad redundant and is it gonna wreak havoc with my registry?

Sorry, copy/pasta error. That one has a valid link, but only if you purchased it (which he didn't). Updated my previous post.

as for this one sorry if you might think I was/am trying to steal it but I do have it installed and have had it the hole time I got Objectdesk Top or since Impulse came out cause it's listed in it and according to Impulse it's installed but I just checked my all programs list and it's not their so I don't know why Impulse tells me it's installed and lets me install it (Or should I say Makes me believe it's installed) any case if you need this info  from Impulse (DesktopX Pro 3/18/2010 V3.91 BETA) just clicked the run button in impulse  I don't know if it is pro or not or what it's doing but here's the info on it  (DesktopX Builder 4.o) about (3.91[b].051)

Thanks for getting the links and the missing one working

Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords
