Snowy... what scares me is that those engines can suck dirt and rocks in... birds... whatever. Then, buh bye.

Standing still those impellers create a vacuum effect that can suck a person right off his feet. Actually saw that some years ago on TV. It was on one of the aircraft carriers. This deck hand was standing a bit too close when a Prowlers, (think it was anyway it was awhile ago). engines started up and slurp! sucked the guy right down the intake. Fortunately he survived because the tunnel was too small to let him pass through. Other wise...chomp...chomp.

In 1957 (Sinai Campaign), The IAF took down telephone wires with planes trailing tail hooks... In 1967 they flew under the radar until just far enough out to allow the enemy to start up their jet engines... then they popped up above the radar horizon. It was done early in the morning to make the IR signatures really stand out for the heat seeking missiles... the enemy planes revved up and were blown to pieces on the ground. the second wave cratered the runways... pinning the rest of their planes on the ground. That was the 6 Day War.
Yes... "Under The Radar"... understood, mate.
