I'm usin Skintudio 7.2. I'm trying to skin the "Favorite Link Background" under Windows 7, but it's not being applied. The background extention is .tga
Does anyone have any info on it?
Windows default remains the same.

A little curious, the image you have selected in the drop down list looks exactly like what it is in the preview. Is it supposed to be that gray color, or did you manually edit the preview area to show what you want it to look like as well as adding the red text?

I think you can only change the colour, in SS7 - Edit Vista / Windows 7 explorer - folders bar - extra settings - background colour, you also have to skin the folders bar which is a Vista only part, to get the setting to work in Windows 7.
The favourite links background is also a vista part.

No, that's what I want it to look like. It looks right on skinstudio. when I applied it, it doesn't show that way on the actual explorer's window.

I thought I could do more for Windows 7. Then I have to go back and rethink most of it.
Thanks

It's confirmed!
Windowblind does NOT support skinning in that area on W7.
Skinstudio does one thing, but windowblind is really blind - The rumor is true
Very little skinning support for Windows 7. I'll leave that part alone.

I created a thread a while back and people helped me with what needed to be skinned in 7, and what wouldn't skin. You might want to check it out: https://forums.wincustomize.com/404809
