Desktop X registration

I recently purchased Desktop X,but when I installed it, I was not asked to input any serial numbers or anything. If I go to the configuration window, and click "About", it says "Registered to:" and the space is blank. I have re-installed it several times, but at no time have I been asked to enter any registration details. I have made sure that I was connected to the net when I installed it, as instructed, but still no joy. I e-mailed Stardock support, but they just sent me a "Registration FAQ", which didn't help at all. Do any of you guys have any idea why this is happening? I'm not sure what the benefits of registration are, but having paid the money, I would at least like to see my name and serial number in the "about" section, otherwise I may as well just be using the demo version! Any ideas?
