Tiles v0.80 (3/10/11)

Tiles is preventing my PC from shutting down.
When I shut it down the process hangs, and I get a message about 'application manager' not being able to continue because off another application.
I've never had this problem before installing Tiles.
If I close Tiles before shutting down - no problem. Turns off right away.
Vista Home Premium, 64 bit.

Not really sure when it happened but sometime within the last 48 hours I lost the Shutdown Options portion of the right click menu.
Now I only see

Exit

The shutdown options menu only shows when you have the taskbar hidden.

Ah....I see. I have it hidden via Objectdock and left it unchecked for Tiles.

Issue with CoreTemps and Outlook message icons in the Systray has been fixed in the update.
Web Page works now. Thanks.

I'm running Tiles v0.85 on Windows 7 64bit. I didn't have any problems with 0.8 but this latest version has a problem when I start Windows explorer (explorer.exe). I have explorer pinned to the taskbar, and as soon as I click it while Tiles is running, all the icons showing in the system tray disappear. Notifications that would pop up from the system tray also don't show up correctly once this happens. The taskbar also stops removing icons for closed applications and pinned applications don't start when clicked. I also noticed that the start menu won't allow me to type anything in the search bar and the links don't highlight when I mouse over them.
This taskbar/start menu problem will also happen if I manually start explorer by typing it into the start menu. If I click on the Computer or Library shortcuts on my desktop, however, everything is fine. I found that I can logoff and log back on and the taskbar and start menu are fine again, except Windows has all the system tray icons set to "only show notifications" and I need to reset my customizations of the system tray icons. I also confirmed that these problems only occur if Tiles is running.

I see this after the nightly run of Acronis Trueimage 2011

We have reproduced this and found out why. I hope we can put up an update later today.

Thanks! I look forward to checking out the new version.
The update should be up now.

This may have already been requested but after using this for a couple weeks 2 things really stand out......
I would REALLY like the ability to reorder the pages AND reorder the shortcuts.
On the flashing labels....I've noticed that shortcut names with extra periods in them seem to be the culprits. Like GPU-Z.0.5.2.exe
Change the name to remove them and the problem goes away.

I have a question:
I'm using ObjectDock and the option "Reserve of edge screen" and Tiles uses the same option - i know it's logical, but is it possible for Tiles do not reserve of edge screen?

Reduced 75%
Original 800 x 500
The problem is Tiles is being told that there is a bar below it and so it automatically adjusts to handle this. Objectdock is reserving that space, but tiles has no idea that ObjectDock is the one doing this vs the taskbar or some other bar.

Ok, i understand that but Tiles has an option called "pin on top" so it could be over the Dock, right - or am i wrong?

Neil, I'm really enjoying Tiles, but one thing that would make it perfect would be if programs could be moved up or down on the page so that they could be alphabetical or in groups.
Any chance of that happening in an update?

I've noticed something and reproduced it on my desktop and laptop but it's not consistent and I can't figure out what the trigger is......
Using Aero and setting the skin to match and having it on autohide, I sometimes lose the Systray button if I uncheck autohide. In the case of my laptop it completely disappears and on my desktop I can see it behind the shortcut icons on the bottom. If there's no shortcuts at the bottom it doesn't seem to happen or it "fixes" itself as I tab through pages.
Laptop is W7x64 Pro SP1
Desktop is W7x64 Home SP1

Another strange one.
System: Windows XP SP3 (with WindowBlinds & ObjectDock2)
Mouse: Razer DeathAdder
Why mention the mouse? Because with Tiles loaded I get serious lag on the mouse particularly if I move the mouse around quickly. If you throw the mouse around the screen you can build up a lag of more than a second - i.e. stop moving and it can take the mouse more than a second to catch up with all the queued movements.
This particular mouse, in case you are not familiar with it, is a high DPI, fast polling gaming mouse with its own driver.
Note that the lag is on the desktop and not in games (although I havent been playing many games where I'd notice recently).

This of course is going to depend on the mouse drivers and any customizations the user may have made. Problem with buttons above button 3 is that they are entirely arbitrary and not really standardized to anything. In addition, buttons 4 and 5 aren't particularly well designed on the Logitech MX Revolution and are very much prone to sticking - I'd rather use something else, like the thumb wheel or the left/right tilt on my scroll wheel.
Note to SetPoint users: You have to close Tiles to remap the keys, otherwise Tiles will not allow SetPoint to see it.
