There is a IRC channel on Efnet, I've heard.
'cept I can't go there cause I can't find a server to accept me without a IDENT thingy...

arrrg, *@!! this is annoying
you know what i mean, but an edit feature is needed badly
which would take less bandwidth? me creating 3 messages which each person has to load, or just have an edit feature so that i can edit it 3 times and people only hve to load one message

berzerka...they won't let me loose with an edit function. It is believed that I personally would spend all my days on here correcting EVERYBODY...
Now 'delete', that I can do, just a bit heavy-handed, when all you wanted to say was 'maybe'....

The channel is indeed on efnet (#wincustomize) and most server requires IDENT to be enabled. It would be great if some of you could come in! I personnaly get in at lunch time (12PM or so) and later in the evening. Hope to have a chat with you soon

i never go on efnet cause all the irc chans i go on are on dalnet...

berzerka, I believe the idea is to maintain reasonable integrity of a post's meaning...if they could be edited, they could be altered to destroy the continuity of the thread, to its ultimate detriment.
If, however someone were to get into abuse or personal attack, racism, etc.....then snip-snip...delete the post...

but the thing is, the person who alters it is gonna be admin, or the person who wrote it, so theyre not gonna try and destroy it!

There is a reasonable occupied #Stardock channel on EFnet. Most of Stardock crew visit it daily. Regular visitors are PJPowell, TheGreenReaper, CyCoPaTh, Swish, Nuke, gvahl, cpuroast, daiSho, reticence, drakon000, dreamer, likw1d and red1. From time to time you can see Alexandrie, _DAK_, Buzz_Hog, Cartier, Crumbut, cwizard, decoderx, Eddepet, ess-vid, iMike, gorman, GuyHersch, l0c, Migelitto, MartinC, Mercury, nivenh, rootrider, shoggot and others to stop by. I even saw bananafactor on friday
The EFnet #WinCustomize channel is less crowded. When AJCrowley stops idling there we even may have ops

When I try to get there Elfie, I get redirected to thirty4... (?) and I see no #wincustomize nor #wincusto there. 
And again, I can't get on Efnet because of the IDENT thing. Does Stardock have a IRC server? Like irc.Stardock.com (I already tried that one, hehehe!)

Stardock has no IRC server. I don't think they ever will. Too many l337 h4x0r d00dz would offer their products on their own server

I recently read here that Starock might start its own server and hook it up with cavernsnetwork.
#wincustomize on caverns is registred by me btw, many months ago. I personally dislike Efnet cause of its many netsplits, the biggest reason #skinnerz went of it, plus it requires people to be online 24/7 to remain ops. on caverns a chanserv is used, like on Dalnet I think.
